Where Do Computer Virus Myths Originate?
You ever see the result of a social game where a group of people, the more the better, all sit in a circle close to each other. A one line statement is given to a person in this circle on a piece of paper. Something as simple as “the price of bread will be more because of the cost of gas”. That message is given to the next person only by word of mouth and only by whispering . That second person then relays that same message to the third person and so on until the last person announces what he or she had just heard. Most of the time, let me say all of the time the message has been so skewed it’s hilarious. The ending message might come out that there will be an earthquake and the price of bread will triple because there will be no trucks to deliver the bread. Read more »
