Do You Care About Computer Crashes?
Everyday you read about how a network got infected with viruses or that you heard through the grapevine that someones PC doesn’t boot properly. Sure you read but you don’t feel the pain associated with this type of scenario.
Why should you? It didn’t happen to you so why should you worry? I will tell you why you should worry and why no one is susceptible to the computer crash let alone computer viruses.Computers need maintenance and they need regular virus scans along with the maintenance. First things first here concerning virus scans. Quick scans during the week are definitely needed and at least once a month a comprehensive scan if not weekly should be performed to insure that you have a clean computer free from viruses. Oh yes, along with the daily updates of virus patches that need to be on your system.
Now to the physical end of things concerning your computer. What if you had a computer crash? You’ve read horror stories from people that have lost their whole drive due to some malfunctioning piece in their computer.
People that have lost all their emails, all the data files of information that they have. Passwords, projects, half written ebooks you always wanted to publish and make some money from them.
Think about the consequences and you’ll start shivering. Well at least you should start shivering because the best thing that you can do for your mind and for the computer is to back it up.
You can’t stop a computer from malfunctioning but you can definitely have a plan B in case something like this happens to you.
Even if you don’t have a business online you may have confidential information that you need. What if you planner of events are contained on the computer? What if you lost your email addresses of all of your friends?
What if you had no backup? Think about that and you’ll soon understand the necessity of having a viable backup for your computer.
