What Causes A Computer Virus?

Computer viruses are caused and are not unintentional.  These computer viruses are programs that play havoc on home computers and on networks connected with shared computers as well.  Because these computer viruses are programs once they get into the system it becomes an auto pilot machine that can do anything and exploit the most secure aspects of the system.

How can you protect yourself from these computer viruses?By one thing is to be diligent in keeping your antivirus software up to date as much as possible and running at least quick scans daily.  Comprehensive scans need to be implemented at least once a week to be safe.

These little computer viruses can cause much harm to your computer by exploiting sensitive information that you have stored, such as passwords and personal information that contains your life history.

One thing to remember as well on how easy it is to contract a computer virus is by a simple to a website that is off limits.  Well off limits to the majority of people surfing the net.  But porn sites are notorious for having malicious scripts on their sites that once you visit them you contract a cookie, a foreign script that sometimes you never get rid of.

Sometimes you get directed to these websites unintentionally by the keywords you put into your search engine.  No fault of yours but just the way the search engine works when defined by the use of keywords.

So if you find yourself on a taboo site, get out quick and run your quick scan to insure that you didn’t pick up anything you didn’t want.
